The daytime speed limit on Dutch roads is to be cut to 100 kilometers per hour in a bid to tackle a nitrogen oxide pollution crisis, according to cabinet sources widely quoted by Dutch media. Details of the leaked measures are to be revealed soon, but reports say the existing limit of up to 130 kilometers per hour would still be permitted at night.

荷兰媒体广泛援引内阁的消息来源称，为了应对氮氧化物污染危机，荷兰公路上的日间限速值将降至每小时100公里。这一措施的细节很快就会公布，但是报道称，夜间仍将执行目前130公里/时的限速标准。

Bringing the motorway speed limit down to 100 kilometers per hour would make the Netherlands the lowest in Europe, on a par with Cyprus, which has far fewer motorways.

欧洲普遍的限速标准(maximum speed limit)是130公里/时，而英国是112公里/时。
